To use a drive within a Hyper-V machine you need to take the drive, while physically attached and mounted to the host machine, offline and then reroute the offline-to-the-host disk into the virtual machine.

Nov 20, 2019 · I did myself wonder if it is a share permissions initially but can mapt to the drives no prob from within the LAN. To be honest. It has worked in the past, but not tried it for about 6 months or more. I even wondered if updates had caused any probs with it. I may recreate the Smoothwall Certificate for the VPN and try that.
A VPN connection typically creates a virtual network and associated routing. This allows access to the remote network, to be routed through this Virtual VPN network.

No, it's not possible for host to use VPN Connection from inside the guest. But the opposite it possible.
